The Hamptons Cafe, just not in the Hamptons

After having a rather fun night at White in Dubai, watching my fave Trey Songz I was expecting to be spending the next day in bed. You know how it goes when you're unable to move and mourning your previous life prior to the night. Where you can open your eyes in the light, move a little less like a 90 year old lady and not look like death. To my absolute shock I felt as fresh as a daisy and after a nice lie in I got out of bed like a little spring chicken and got ready for my lunch plans. My friend Tiff had told me about an adorable little cafe her and her Mum had found. We decided to go for lunch depending on the state of ourselves, which was actually fabulous!

A 25 minute drive later, and after somehow managing to find our way on the roads of Dubai we arrived. We got out the car and amidst the villas and random shops there was the cutest little cafe. It was honestly like looking at a little bundle of adorableness. I literally felt like we'd ridden our camels to The Hamptons in New York. (that was a joke, we don't ride camels we drive cars like everyone else. Except on Tuesdays. Also, a joke.)

The boutique cafe's white exterior and adorable terrace were clean, elegant and totally charming. It was filled with plant pots, flowers, wooden decorations, lanterns and had a chic feel. It’s based on 3 floors and has indoor and outdoor seating. We headed up to the terrace and sat on a seat next to the wall. There were views of the sea and Jumeirah beach and the gentle wind was lovely.

The food was Devine and not badly priced at all. It was about 30 Dirham for a fresh fruit smoothie. I had a mixed berry smoothie and Tiff had a tropical fruit juice. For lunch we shared a small tomato soup which only cost 35aed and was the perfect size for two. We also had a mediterranean vegetables and goats cheese quiche which came with salad, and we ordered some truffle wedges too. The food was well presented, tasted great and the bill only came to 200aed altogether. With our cabin crew discount on top, it was even cheaper and came to 170. So good for lunch for two!

The atmosphere was great as it wasn’t too crowded but not deserted either. The areas were fairly small so had a cosy feel but not crammed full. There were views all around and the different levels and areas to sit on made it really interesting. They weren't the best views as there was just a residential area below but you could still see the sea, and any sea is always better than no sea. As we were eating lunch we could hear the soft sound of Frank Sinatra's voice. For a second I swore I was Audrey Hepburn off out for a chic little lunch with the huns to a cute spot during a NYC summer.

I’d definitely recommend this place. It's well priced, chic and stylish and great quality. It’s a perfect lunch spot to take friends, family or your other half.
